The academy is a partner of Christian Heritage College (CHC) in Australia, a Christian tertiary college. Two recognised qualifications will be offered.

Year One: Undergraduate Certificate in Ministry Practice*

Four units are studied:

  1. Communication in Ministry
  2. Spiritual Growth
  3. Theological Foundations
  4. Leading in Ministry

* pending approval from AQF

Students who complete the certificate are able to transition into the diploma in the following year.

Year Two: Diploma of Ministry

Five units are studied to complete the diploma:

  1. Biblical Interpretation and Application
  2. Biblical Studies in the OT
  3. Biblical Studies in the NT
  4. Theology of Ministry
  5. Communication for Ministry

Both courses are studied part-time. Graduates from the Certificate in Ministry Practice will have one further year of part-time study left to complete the Diploma of Ministry. This diploma meets the INC study requirements for ordination as pastors.

INC Ministry Internship

Another option for students is the INC Ministry Internship. This is a ministry apprenticeship designed to develop your leadership skills and ministry potential.

The components of this course include:

  1. A practical ministry internship in your local church

  2. Regular coaching meetings

  3. Weekly, online teaching

  4. Two four-day block courses (in February and July)

Teaching content includes NT, OT, Interpretation Principles, Spiritual Formation and Theology. This course is not part of NZQA or AQF, but is rather an internal INC certificate. Other than a final reflection, formal assessments will not be required.

Mode of Study

The mode of study is primarily online through CHC. In addition, a weekly online coaching session will be held.

A total of two, in-person block courses will be undertaken each year. These will take place at the beginning of each semester, in February and July. They will be between 2 to 4 days in duration and include theological input, apostolic input from the INC movement and prophetic input.
